Center for Grief
Hope For Tomorrow for Those Grieving Today
Grief is a natural, healthy and universal emotion. It helps us accept a loss and begin to heal. Even though grief may be a universal reaction, it is also an intensely personal experience that each of us feels - and deals with - in our own way. Feelings like loneliness, anger, guilt confusion and fear can all be present at once.
But you don't have to go through grief alone. The Samaritan Center for Grief Support can help you or your organization cope with loss and trauma.
The Center's trained professionals offer their experience, empathy and understanding to the families of Samaritan Hospice patients as part of their hospice bereavement benefit. The resources of the Center are also open to anyone or any group in the community that has experienced a loss - regardless of whether or not they have used other Samaritan services.
The Center offers the following:
Crisis response for schools, workplace and community organizations
PTSD counseling and family support services for New Jersey's active military and veterans
Grief support groups
Services for schools
