Samaritan Healthcare & Hospice Dove Award Presented to Mount Laurel Woman
Created by hospice on 7/21/2011 8:59:19 AM

Samaritan Healthcare & Hospice certified home health aide, Nancy Damiani (left) of Mount Laurel, received the not-for-profit organization’s quarterly employee Dove Award for service excellence.

Samaritan created the Dove Award in 2009 to recognize employees who exemplify at least one of the organization’s five pillars of excellence - people, service, quality, finance and growth.

In the six years Damiani has been employed with Samaritan, she has done more than bathe, dress and care for hospice patients with dignity, professionalism and compassion. Samaritan President/CEO Mary Ann Boccolini said, “Author Leo Buscaglia has written, “Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring…”  Nancy’s gentle care embodies all these qualities and we are so happy to recognize her.”

Home Health Aide Supervisor Lyn Sheely said, “Nancy embraces our mission and philosophy with energy, commitment and devotion. I am grateful she shares her spirit with all of us here at Samaritan especially our patients and families who truly are able to witness this first hand.”
