Golf Tournament Gets "Loud"
Created by hospice on 6/2/2011 12:11:16 PM

New this year to Samaritan Healthcare & Hospice’s annual golf tournament – Golfers can participate in the “Loud Pants Contest” by wearing their “loudest” pants (that still conform to the course’s dress code).  The contest, sponsored by Loud Mouth Golf, will award the tackiest dressed individual golfer and foursome during the evening reception.

“FORE! A Good Cause,” Samaritan’s 21st Annual Golf Tournament presented by The Richardson Family Dealerships will take place on Monday, June 27. The 18-hole scramble format tournament, held at Little Mill Country Club in Marlton, will have a shotgun start at 11:30 a.m. Registration opens at 9:30 a.m. The awards reception and dinner will follow at 4:30 p.m.

This year, Samaritan is pleased to welcome honorary guest host, Anthony Gargano, anchor and author for WIP and Fox Sports.

The entrance fee of $275 includes continental breakfast, lunch, commemorative sports shirt, greens fees and cart, refreshments on the golf course, awards dinner reception and player gift package. The event features hole-in-one contests to win luxury automobiles and other prizes, mulligans, 50/50 raffles, a silent auction and various individual and foursome awards.

The Richardson Family Dealerships will serve as event sponsor for the tournament that supports Samaritan’s patients and families. Many services that Samaritan offers do not receive reimbursement from Medicare, Medicaid or private insurance. Generous community support allows the not-for-profit organization to provide grief services, care to uninsured patients and complementary therapies such as massage, music, pet and aroma therapies that offer comfort and relieve pain.

Sponsorship opportunities are available. For sponsorship or ticket information, contact Julie Weitzman at (856) 552-3239 or
