Samaritan Partners with the Lauren Rose Albert Foundation

Marlton, NJ – (from left) Kathy O’Connell, LCSW, Samaritan Social Work Manager, Joan Ordille, MSW, LSW and Sherri Brake, LSW prepare to deliver bags filled with women’s health and beauty products to mothers in our community who are receiving hospice care from Samaritan Healthcare & Hospice. The baskets are generously donated by the Lauren Rose Albert Foundation to help women facing difficult challenges. Each gift is filled with an assortment of shower gels, shampoos, scented powders and lotions and carries the special message “Mothers Matter.”

The Lauren Rose Albert Foundation
The Lauren Rose Albert Foundation is a 501 (c)3 not-for-profit organization established in 2000 by Lauren's parents, family and friends to honor her memory. The Foundation's credo – "Mothers Matter" – is a tribute to Lauren and a mother's love; the Mission – to encourage mothers to achieve economically and educationally and to seek brighter futures for themselves and their families – reflects Lauren's legacy of helping others lead better lives. Since 2001 the Foundation has touched the lives of thousands of women in southern New Jersey and Philadelphia through the following programs: Mothers Matter Gift Basket Program and Mothers Matter Community Outreach program.
