Burlington County’s Only Inpatient Hospice Center Marks Milestone
Created by hospice on 12/14/2010 12:19:48 PM

The Samaritan Inpatient Hospice Center in Mt. Holly celebrated its fifth anniversary on Wednesday, June 30 with a day of events. The Center, located within Virtua Memorial, offered water ice to all visitors at the front entrance of the hospital, held educational events for healthcare professionals, and hosted a reception in the Samaritan Inpatient Center Art Gallery.

While the majority of hospice patients receive care where they live, the Samaritan Inpatient Hospice Center opened in 2005 to offer the option of short-term stays for those who have pain or symptoms that would be better managed in a home-like inpatient setting. Since the doors opened five years ago, the Inpatient Center has cared for 2,705 patients and their families.

The Samaritan Inpatient Hospice Center is located in Virtua Memorial, 2 South, 175 Madison Ave., Mt. Holly.
