Spiritual Support Counselor Andreá Thomas offers a calming presence for patients and families at Samaritan’s Inpatient Hospice Center.
S
ometimes, God is the first thing that comes up in conversation. Other times, God never gets mentioned at all. But always, Samaritan’s spiritual support counselors help create a safe haven for our hospice patients and families to ask the tough questions, discuss unfinished business and find meaning, purpose and peace.
“What we are not doing is trying to change someone’s beliefs,” explains Lead Spiritual Support Counselor Chuck Mitchell.
