Dunleavy Joins Program Supporting South Jersey Elderly Created by hospice on 12/14/2010 12:14:52 PM
Liz Dunleavy, LSW of Philadelphia has accepted the position of geriatric care manager with SeniorWise Care Management, announced SeniorWise Director Nancy Carman. The program, celebrating its one-year anniversary, is a member of the Samaritan Family of Services and helps older adults remain independent and safe in their own home for as long as possible.
As a geriatric care manager and a social worker with a specialization in gerontology, Dunleavy will provide expert guidance, caring advocacy and timely connections with cost-effective services for older adults and their families planning for current and future needs.
SeniorWise Care Management’s services include conducting comprehensive in-home assessments, and arranging and monitoring services on behalf of older adults. Dunleavy’s role will also include keeping adult children and other loved ones informed and involved, whether they live nearby or far away. SeniorWise is a member of the National Association of Professional Geriatric Care Managers.
“Liz brings experience and passion to her new position at SeniorWise Care Management,” said Carman. “Not only are we fortunate to have her, but the seniors in South Jersey and their families will benefit greatly from Liz’s insights, dedication and expertise.”
Dunleavy received her master’s degree in social work from Fordham University in New York and bachelor’s degree in psychology from Simmons College in Boston. She is a member of National Association of Social Workers and National Association of Professional Geriatric Care Managers.
